Some extra personal information
My homemade Phở
My last major trophy, sadly a better track-record than my beloved Man United
I was born in Hanoi, Vietnam. I moved to Saigon (or Ho Chi Minh City) in the South at the age of 9. Since 2022, I've been based in Tampa, Florida.
Outside of work, my main interests include soccer, reading, blogging, cinema, photography (all the scenery pictures in this website are taken by me), and cuisine.
I love to read. Back in high school, I substituted my class assignments with Lev Tolstoy, George Orwell, and Milan Kundera, which unfortunately led to a horrendous GPA in exchange for a thorough understanding of "Big Brother".
A couple of books I'm currently enjoying include "My Dagestan" by Rasul Gamzatov, "Zhou Enlai" by Chen Jian, and "From Third World to First" by Lee Kuan Yew.
Cinema is another love of mine. My top three are No Country for Old Men, Forrest Gump, and...The Dark Knight Trilogy (no kidding, taught me more on Philosophy and Sociology than any class).
I'm also a big foodie. One of my dying wishes is to popularize authentic Phở, which, in my opinion, has to be Northern-style Phở, not Southern-style.
Finally, I love to play, watch, and talk about association football, also known as soccer. I was an indoor football champion, playing as a Centre-back. My favorite European clubs are Real Madrid and Manchester United (all thanks to CR7).
